A nutritional consultation is structured to understand what decisions a client is presently making in regards to food choices, water intake, exercise and general lifestyle choices that pertain to the present state of health. An individual choosing this consultation would be best prepared to write down 1-3 days worth of food choices, water and other beverage intake, and typical amount of carbohydrates, proteins and fats consumed. If the client does not know how to categorize the foods they consume, the nutritional consultant will help to determine the approximate quantities by reviewing the food intake listed for the latest 1-3 days. The client must also be prepared to discuss use of tobacco, alcohol, over the counter and prescribed medications, exercise levels, body ailments and any other topics related to their present state of health. The objective of this consultation to help an individual realize how their present lifestyle choices are affecting their current state of health and well-being.
